Mediterraneo Marine Park Malta

‘Mediterraneo’ is Malta’s only Marine Park.

It is one of Malta’s leading family attractions, both for tourists and locals alike. The park is located just off the main coast road which connects to most of the hotels and tourist accommodation in Malta. Public transport service is available and bus stops are situated right outside the park’s entrance.

The park operates all the year round.

Open every day from 10.00 to 14.00 between 1st October 2012 to the 17th March 2013, except on Monday’s when the park is closed.

Open every day from 10.00 to 17.00 between the 18th March 2013 and the 30th September 2013.

The park offers three main programs which are held daily: The Dolphin Show; The Sea Lions Show; and the Parrot Show. But the highlight of all is the interactive programs and in particular the SWIM program with the Dolphins, this is a unique experience which mustn’t be missed.

Besides the bottlenose dolphins, the park presently cares for other different animal species including Sea Lions, Parrots, Green Wing Amazons, snakes, tortoises, turtles, frogs, toads, spiders, scorpions and lizards. The latter are displayed in an appropriate reptilarium and is accessible to all visitors.

In June 2012 the park was acquired by Costa Edutainment of Italy, who also own five Aquariums in Italy, including the largest one in Europe which is located in Genova. It is the aim and objectives of Costa Edutainment to update its ‘Mediterraneo’ marine park and use marine life to educate first.

We organize children parties and there are also special rates for groups.
